Cycle: 60 Skids/Pallets per hour

This skid nailing system incorporates a dual axis servo positioning system to provide consistent nailing patterns for a large number of skids configurations. The moving bridge carries seven automatic nail guns and seven automatic staple guns as it moves along the 26 foot long table. The table is divided into two different work surfaces allowing for assembly of two different style skids simultaneously. Located beneath the tables are pneumatic drills which accurately locate holes in the skids during the nailing process. This photo shows the system being loaded for shipment. Put into service in early 1984, this system is still in service today. This was also our first automated machine.
