Heavy Load Assisted Lifting System

Application required lifting, rotating to vertical and transporting large construction panels. Each panel measures 4 feet by 16 feet with an average weight of 260 pounds. The lifting surface is typically vinyl coated burlap wall covering. The frame is made from structural aluminum extrusions with internal porting for vacuum. Pneumatic over electric control on this application provided control of the overhead electric winch. Zimmerman bridge and runway rails are used for overhead structural support and freedom of movement. Pneumatic safety interlocks require a certain vacuum level be attained before lifting will occur. Also, a two button interlock system is used to prevent accidental release of suspended load.
